Summer Staff Positions for 2026 are from approximately June 12 – August 10.  All Positions for 2026 have been filled, and Applications are no longer being accepted. To apply complete the Keola Summer Job. Pay is per hour (see below). Applicants can expect to work 35-40 hour a week, with one or two day off each week. Scheduling is dependent on the summer camp program and rental groups. Lodging and meals are provided at no expense.  To apply complete the Keola Summer Employment Application and submit it. 

Head Cook 

Responsibilities include oversight of entire kitchen operation: menu planning, food ordering, oversight of meal preparation and clean-up, and ensuring food safety. Groups of  40 – 150. Experience in meal preparation for large groups and supervision of kitchen helpers required. Must have ServSafe Certification. Pay is $25/hour and up, depending on experience. 

Assistant Cook

Applicant must be experienced in food service and enjoy cooking. Responsibilities include food preparation, kitchen cleanup and assisting the Head Cook. Must have ServSafe certification. Pay is $19/hour and up, depending on experience.  

Kitchen/Generalist

Applicant will help with food preparation, table setting and dish washing. Other duties may include housekeeping, cleaning and maintenance tasks. Must have a willingness to help wherever needed. Pay is $16.90/hr and up, depending on experience. 

Maintenance/Generalist 

Applicant will help with general maintenance and cleaning work around camp. Other duties may include dishwashing, housekeeping and other tasks as needed. Must have a willingness to help wherever needed. Pay is $16.90/hr and up, depending on experience. 

Lifeguard

Applicant must be certified and comfortable working on a mountain lake, experience with boats is a plus. Responsibilities include some maintenance, housekeeping and dishwashing duties when not lifeguarding. American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguard Certification is required. Pay is $19/hr and up, depending on experience.
